Everything you want in a game❣ Collectables morphing objects and a scary kidnapping story with a cool bad guy
Great game! Elephant got it right with this one. Loved the multi-step puzzles...Ive said it in other reviews, but once again Ill say that I wish there were more of them! For me, the regular puzzles were a little on the easy side, so my only real complaint (which is a minor one) is that they couldve been more challenging. Perhaps in future games, the devs could include the option of easy or hard mode for the puzzles, like other Big Fish developers implement in some of their games. Really enjoyed the morphing objects & collectables too. The storyline was interesting and gameplay was solid. Overall this is a really enjoyable game and Id totally recommend it to all.
The game was ok
This is one of the best adventure hidden object games Ive played so far. Great soundtrack, interesting plot. Enjoyed it!
A haunting melody underscores this suspenseful, melancholic tale of loss and revenge. Rarely is any Hidden Object Mystery able to succeed in achieving such atmosphere. Prepare to be thrilled by a terrifying story filled with numerous collections, morphing objects, some uniquely crafted, layered puzzles and cleverly integrated after-game play opportunities. It just doesnt get better than this; without a doubt, one of the best Ive come across in over a hundred H.O.G.s played.
I have no idea what the story was about. The game was way too short, too many games, too few HOPs.
Fans of this series know its not a fluffy smiley happy type of game. You are hired to protect a scientist who is then targeted by a sniper. You and his security team take refuge in an old hotel where you are promptly gassed. When you wake you find the scientist held hostage by a creep in a mask who is taunting you from tv screens. You have to figure out what exactly the Eternity project is and how the creep and the Dr are involved all while making your way through trap after trap. Gameplay is smooth, Elephant did a good job on the artwork, transporting indicated map, custom difficulty available. Collect masks, puzzle pieces and 20 morphing objects. HO are varied and puzzles have good instructions and are not insane. Lab rats and bloody knife wielding clowns and scorpions, other insects. Verdict: if you enjoy mysteries, spooky atmosphere and love plot twists then buy and enjoy! May not be suitable for kids. Not a lot of blood or violence but subject matter may disturb some. Now I have to get back to the game as I have a creep to catch and a mystery to solve!
Good, good, good game! The graphics were excellent, the sound was creepy and spooky, the atmosphere of the game fit perfectly, the puzzles and hidden objects were of a good variety, and the story was superb. The only downside was I felt the ending came pretty abruptly, and wasnt as satisfying as the rest of the game. Still five stars. Way to go Elephant Games and Big Fish.
The moral of this game seems to be: Beware of signing contracts! When you agreed to protect the scientist/philanthropist, you also agreed that he would not guarantee your safety. Now he is kidnapped by a masked man who is trying to kill you, and all because of a past medical project that went awry, Project Eternity. As you solve puzzles to rescue your employer, you also collect Morphing Objects, Puzzle Pieces, and other objects. The Hidden Objects are the Shadow variety. You may change levels during the game, and all the usual functions - Hint, Skip, etc. - work well. Just clever enough to keep your interest ignited, this is a fabulous game! Cant wait to see a sequel!
I love the storyline of this game, which reminds me of "Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Gray" where you are forced to play a twisted game of "cat and mouse" by an evil hooded, masked figure who is constantly harassing you and watching your every move while you make your way around this horrifying hotel. This game is not shy of psychotic overkill, and it does contain some critters for those with any phobias. The portrayal of an eerie, sinister environment is effectively achieved through the intricate use of consistent background animations, such as the guillotine chopping off the dolls head; windows breaking and objects flying for no reason; and menacing, mechanical toys popping out at you. The music appropriately produced a haunting and chilling experience by achieving a suspenseful climax at times; the background noises generated a nightmarish, paranormal reality with the tv screens blaring out menacing scenes and the echoes of childrens laughter resonating around. The graphics were clear and used a palette of very dark colors with shades of blue, purple, and pink representing a suspenseful, chilling mood. You had the ability to customize your settings; and the inventory was labeled, interactive, and puzzle-like. The map had quick teleport; and in custom mode, it stated your objectives. Transition between scenes was slightly delayed by several seconds. There was no back button. There was no journal, which would have been a huge benefit in enhancing the players experience; you do read materials, such as registries, notes, posters, etc. The HOS are varied and puzzle-like; the items used are relative to the storyline, such as the dollhouse one where you form a dragon from collected pieces. Other types are word lists and silhouettes. The puzzles are very easy requiring no thought to complete most. You do have several easy puzzle board types reminiscent of "Dire Grove" where you work your way around solving multiple mini-puzzles in sequence to complete the whole. You collect masks of different moods, etc., as well as jigsaw pieces and morphing objects in the locations. The extras contain the usual, as well as your achievements, collectibles, and a secret room. I did have one glitch in this game. It was difficult to write over the contract in the beginning until I hovered the pen over the upper right hand corner of each entry; then the pen scribbled and the problem was solved. Unfortunately, a good game in the making was ruined by the incredibly SHORT game that it was; I finished the main game in about three hours, which never happens! The tv map showed five buttons with four scenes per button for a combined total of just twenty scenes, maybe with an additional few scenes in the beginning. This was like half a game! Even the bonus game was short - about a half hour! I also do not like the trend of these secret rooms where you have to replay HOS or puzzles twice to earn a full star! Come up with something different from the game itself! I took off two stars for these reasons. LynxMinx: I am sorry that you are under the weather and hope that you get well soon! I am glad you are playing those games I suggested in my previous review, and I hope you are enjoying them as I did. Rest up!
This is an awesome game! I love it! Im glad I took a chance and bought it! Totally worth it! Thank you! More like this please!
Love the story line and that they tied in the Mystery Trackers story line as those are my favorite! This is up there with my favorites and I hope that they continue
The graphics are so so, the puzzles are stupidly easy even on advanced mode...save your $3.99. Big Fish, not your best, at all.
The graphics were great. Puzzles were a bit on the easy side. Loved looking for the morphing and HOs. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is beacause it was way, way to short. For $3.99 it should have been longer.
Dont expect a little naive game here
Short game. Only good thing I can say is the HO puzzles are good.
Good game, but big fish games cost too much now! Cant see why they doubled in price
I havent left many good reviews lately but this one takes the cake. Awesome story...and I usually skip the cinematics...no lag time (HUGE benefit for all games) and lots of bells and whistles! I try every new Big Fish adventure/hidden object game that comes out and this one tops them all, especially playing on a tablet. Keep these coming and Ill start leaving more rave reviews!
This game is outstanding! It kept my interest until the end and was spooky enough that I jumped more than once. Puzzles were many, varied, and challenging. Im so happy that Elephant has updated their games - they are once again one of my favorite developers.
The graphics were great, the story made sense for the most part, and I didnt come across any glitches (which was a nice change of pace). I like the option to customize the difficulty. However, Im glad I bought it on sale bc its very short. The puzzles were super easy and typical. The game wasnt scary but I could tell they were trying. Might be a good game for someone around 13 or 14 but not for adults who are familiar with hidden object mysteries.
